On another note, I got in 2 hours before the park opened. This shit was crazy.
YA FEEL ME, DAWG!??!! Er, YA UNDERSTAND ME, DAWG?!???
Also, da fuck? my green eyes look real dark.
Scritch scratchin’ feels so gewdddd. Also, I do not know how to not take a cropped photograph of myself on my phone. Unless someone else is taking it. Then I’m just talking.
I can’t see shit. I’ve also been burnt since the moment I got here.
Now I’m up at 6 finishing pies, because for some dumb reason we have to turn them in at 6:45am. The sun isn’t out yet, which makes me sad, and sleepy. Oh well. PLEASE WISH ME LUCK!!! I’d really love a Blue Ribbon. :/
The “cocktail reception” is at 6 tonight, which will lead to the award ceremony at 7:30. I brought my favorite wiggle dress.
We really have no idea with what to expect. So, here’s to that!
So here I am. Gate C23. I haven’t been on an airplane in 6 years. I have a layover. But I didn’t check a bag. I know nothing about security or boarding shit. Whatever. At least the Milwaukee airport has an awesome used book store; that’s pretty ingenious though, I’m sure people are always leaving their books around.
I am heading the the APC National Pie Championships in Orlando, Florida. I will be submitting 3 of my original pies, and helping Val (the owner of the company/restaurants I work for) in 6 others we serve/sell through Honeypie. Wish us luck!
I’m also determined to go to Harry Potter world and see the Atlantic. I’m leaving late Sunday night, baking tomorrow, turning in our pies early Friday morning, going to the gala/award ceremony Friday night, then doing whatever we want the rest of our time there. Hope for success, plenty of pie ribbons, and sun and warm weather.
I would really like to pull a Michael Phelps with this pie competition and all of our entries.
